Good P2P Sharing, But A Shame About The Unwanted Extras

With a wealth of P2P clients on the web, it can take a while to find the one that suits you best. iMesh is certainly an option. iMesh supports a variety of networks including ED2K and gnutella. The download speeds compare favourably with other P2P software

The interface is perfectly serviceable, and the built in media player can be handy if you want to check out a download without
leaving the program. The program also includes options tailored for those users who have a firewall, which is a bonus for the more safety conscious. Search results will feature software from developers who sponsor iMesh, which can be slightly intrusive, although the Google generation should be well used to this. Search results are pretty representative, but the program could do with an option to display more search results if you can't find what you are looking for in the initial results.

Unfortunately the intrusions don't stop there. The software is bundled with various other programs including adware and spyware, resulting in a few popups and preference collection. While these programs can be removed it is a bit of hassle that many wouldn't want to deal with.

Pros: Good download speeds, multi-network support, firewall preferences.

Cons: Comes bundled with spyware and adware, no option to 'search more'.

Conclusion: Overall a solid client if you are not bothered by the need to deal with the extra unwanted programs.
